Preethi Titu graduated with a PhD in STEM education from the University of Minnesota. Her dissertation titled, "Understanding Teacher Professional Identity Development: An Exploration of Secondary Science Teacher Beliefs and Practices Through Reflective Practice". She is currently working as a Post-Doctoral research fellow at MTSU and will soon be starting as an Assistant Professor of Science Education at Kennesaw State University, GA this fall. She has a background in teaching at higher education settings as well as K-12 schools. Her work focusses on both pre-service and in-service teachers to meaningfully integrate STEM pedagogy into classroom practice. Her research interests include preparation and induction of beginning Secondary Science Teachers. She is also passionate about working on preparing culturally responsive science and mathematics educators.
