Joshua graduated from MTSU with a PhD in Mathematics and Science Education in 2020. His dissertation was titled “Biology Graduate Students’ Perceptions and Experiences of the Research-Teaching Nexus”. Dr. Reid is passionate about reform in STEM graduate education and his research interests include the application of network analysis techniques to educational research, the intersection of research and teaching within professional development contexts, and STEM graduate student professional development. Dr. Reid is currently a post-doctoral research fellow at the Tennessee STEM Education Center working on projects related to STEM teacher retention and professional networks.
